Arizona summers are no joke. With triple digits starting as early as May and lasting until September, the risk of dehydration and heat-related illness greatly increase. In an effort to reduce these risk factors, the Coolidge Youth Coalition (CYC) is hosting a “Cool Down Cool Town” Water Drive in Coolidge to increase access and availability of water to those in need over the summer. We have partnered with local businesses who have volunteered to be water pick up stations throughout different areas in town to reach as many kids and families as possible. You can visit any of the following locations to pick up FREE bottled water: Coolidge Fire Station, State Farm, BBVA Compass Bank and Little Caesars.
For many of our Coolidge kids, school is the only place they receive the proper amount of food and water. Now that school is out of session and summer heat is in full blast, CYC is trying to help those who are most vulnerable this time of year.
